{{subst:delete2|image=Chemical elements emission spectra|reason=The problem with these images has been discussed at WikiProject Chemistry#Radon and Radium spectral lines on the English Wikipedia, and we've been able to resolve the issue as far as that language is concerned, by locally replacing the images with newly uploaded ones. The question remains what to do about the dozens of other language Wikipedias and other Wikimedia projects that use them, often in the infoboxes of Featured Articles (or their equivalent in a given language).
The software that was used to create these was programmed by someone who didn't know what they were doing. The images that were created from that are unusable, and really shouldn't be out there anywhere. For example, the image of the Radium spectrum is that of Ra II, where it should be Ra I. The spectrum of Radon is a nonsensical combination of two different elements (Rn I and Ra II). Many other elements are affected by similar issues.
Trying to discuss this on every single Wikipedia/Wikiversity etc. that uses one of these would be impossibly time consuming. A mass deletion may be too much (and there may be good reason to keep the images, if only for historical purposes). If that's the case then I suggest to replace the files, either manually, or by asking a file mover to use the global replace script.
